BOCA RATON FLORIDA: The new private jet charter service has launched in South Florida. The Boca Jet now offers an industry first cash bonus monthly private jet card membership. There are 3 levels of membership paying a 2%, 3% or 6% cash bonus applied at the time of booking a flight. The service is provided by long time charter operator, InstaJet Charters.
Depending on the membership level, members receive additional benefits like catered on flight meals, drinks and ground transportation for no additional cost. The top-level membership, Elite Luxury even provides a free flight after one year of membership.
The issue up until now with private jets cards has simply been the huge up-front cost. Typically, hours are purchased in 25-hour increments starting around $250,000 or about $10,000 per hour. But that is just the base cost. Many companies add on fees, so it is actually much more expensive.
While $10,000 per hour plus fees seems like a high number, the selling point is you can get a jet with short notice. However, even that is not guaranteed. Companies have no-fly days and blackout holiday periods.
So why would someone buy something like this with all the restrictions ?
To answer that, a little history to provide context. During the pandemic commercial airlines were grounded. The only way to fly was private. As more and more people flooded the industry, lead times went up as did rates.
After the pandemic charter companies and brokers saw an opportunity to sell more jet card memberships representing, they could get jets on short notice.
What The Boca Jet has done is completely different and innovative. Customers purchase a monthly membership which acts like a high interest-bearing savings account toward a future flight. When a customer books a flight, the bonus is added to the amount of membership fees that have been paid. The customer pays the balance due on the flight after the membership funds and bonus have been applied.
In some ways its like saving up for a vacation. The bottom line is the customer is not paying hundreds of thousands of dollars that just sits there until they want to fly.
